Martin Wilkinson Obituary

Martin Wilkinson passed peacefully after a long and courageous battle with cancer in Victoria on December 12th, 2022 at the age of 59. Martin was born in Victoria, British Columbia on July 20th, 1963. He was an extraordinary father and friend who could only be described as thoughtful and filled with positivity, always encouraging everyone he knew. Martin was also an accomplished Investment Advisor, known and respected by many in the industry. Throughout his life in Victoria, he built an incredible community of friends, family, and associates.

Martin loved his family- Mother Marie, son Mat (Susie), son Ryan (Sydney), daughter Sarah, and grandchildren Kody and Zoe. He was predeceased by his father Jack Wilkinson (d. 2007) sister Gina Wilkinson (d. 2010) and brother Adam Wilkinson (d. 2019).

I am so sad to see that Marty has passed away. He & I started to work for IG at the same time. I initially met Marty at training program for new consultants in Winnipeg 1988, and then we would meet up at future training sessions , conferences, etc. I loved being around Marty because he always had a huge smile, a great sense of humour and I knew he was a really kind, considerate, caring guy.
Our loss is Heaven's gain- keep smiling my friend!!!!!

Martin will be missed by all his clients!
My aunt Elsie Adamson was very pleased and proud of him fir his representation of her interests, and I appreciated her respect of him.
I am sorry his grandchildren will not know how very much he loved and was origins of them.

to the Wilkinson family,

I was very saddened by seeing this news. I knew both Adam (from the McPherson) and Martin was my IG rep for many years. Although I have not seen them for many years, I remember them as great characters.

I still have one of Martin's original notepads on my desk.
