Mary DIMOCK Obituary
DIMOCK, Mary Eileen (nee Lockwood) March 2, 1922 - March 18, 2014 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mary. She is predeceased by her sister, Patricia; brother, Harry; grandson, Jake and loving husband of 60 years, Art. Survived by her children, Susan (Wayne), Randy, Mike (Nadine); grandchildren, Jennifer (Richard), Jason, Zac, Derek, Michelle and great-grandchildren, Dixon and Chase. Born in Lancashire, England to Ida and Sidney Stevenson Lockwood, the family moved to Montreal in 1929. Mary served overseas from 1942 -1945 attached to the RCASC as an ambulance driver. After being discharged, the family moved to Oyama, B.C. where she met and married her love, Art in 1951. In 1956, Art was transferred to Victoria where they resided in the Lakehill and later the Prospect Lake areas. Mary was an active member of the Victoria branch of the Comitas Club as well as the Monday morning walking group, "The Recycled Teenagers". She also was a driving instructor for the school board. You will be dearly missed Mom, love your family. There will be no service by request.
