Matthew Vause Obituary

VAUSE, Matthew
January 20, 1958 - December 23, 2024

It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Matt. He is survived by his wife Maggie, his son Ian (Neahla), his daughter Marilyn (Brannen), his grandson Gavin, many extended family and friends.
Matt loved his family, music and playing the drums. He was part of the Victoria music scene for 50 years. Matt was happiest when he made you dance or he made you smile.
A private family memorial will be held at a later date.

Matt was the first drummer I ever played with in a band. He set the standard of my expectations for drummers from then on.
Matt was fun to be with, quick with the humor and easy to talk with.
I remember the valentine dance the band played. 1978. That's when Matt met Maggie. Who would've guessed those two crazy kids would make that valentine a life long affair?
Gonna miss you, man.
