I knew Mel since 1997 when I worked for his company, Mel Hadinger Moving. He was quite a character, extremely funny and loved life! One of the credos I learned from him was, "just be smarter than the furniture!" I still laugh about it to this day. After house and business moves for a few years, he started doing deliveries for Western Logistics
Inc., where he contracted me out to Mary and Bob, and after a year, they employed me full time. And I´m still here 24 years later. I´ll always be grateful to Mel for the chance he gave me when he hired me on the spot at the McDonalds at 23rd and Lonsdale, and the rest is history. You taught me a lot Mel, you were always kind, and I´ll never forget all the laughs and good times we had together. Rest in peace now. Carry on.

I'm saddened to read of Mel's passing. I worked with him at Tally-ho for years. I loved his jokes and stories, he always lightened up the busy mornings at the farm.
I'd like to extend my sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, friends and co-workers, Mel was loved by many and will be sorely missed. Resting easy behind the big wheel in the sky. Thank you Mel for all your service at Tally-ho. Give Nickel and Harley and the rest of the herd a scratch for me.

Mel loved to tell stories and jokes. He worked all his life. Mel enjoyed his vacations in Bali Indonesia where we vacationed with him. He and Don worked together at Western Logistics where they became good friends. Mel and Nancy was our neighbor for years until we moved. But we always kept in touch with Mel. He touched our lives with humour and love RIP Mel you will be missed.
