Melody was a compassionate and encouraging soul; she was consistently there smiling and supporting me as I navigated the dimensions of RRU as an instructor. Her warmth, smile, and charisma will be truly missed by the community at RRU and throughout Victoria.

We can never begin to understand why such a beautiful soul and person as Melody had to leave in such a way, so unexpectedly, and much too soon. I feel the love of her beautiful family and her love and kindness will be carried on in all of our hearts. Thank you Melody for being such an amazing mother and wife. I will always remember when you shared your support about the special bond Sheena and I share as good friends who have become family and how it was important to hold onto that. I promise to be there for Sheena and the family always. All my love xoxo

Dear Arne and Family,

We are deeply saddened to learn of Melody's passing and and we can only imagine the family's pain of her loss. Kevin and I will always think fondly of the time you and Melody spent with us in Frigiliana last year.

As so many have attested to here, Melody was a special person. She was a pleasure to work with and a good friend. The world is truly a sadder place without her graceful presence.

Thinking of you and the family. Val & Kevin

Today I burned incense in honour of Melody at the Po Lin Monastery in Hong Kong. I thought of her acts of genuine kindness over the years. She made a strong positive impact on me, and I know on so many others. I send my condolences to the Andersson family, and hope that your grief is eased in some small way by the breadth of people who share in this loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Melody was always welcoming and warm hearted towards her students. She went above and beyond, to ensure we were looked after whenever we were on campus for residency. She will always be a part of our memories at RRU.

Dear Arne and family,
My deepest condolences to the Andersson family. Melody was such a bright spirit in our school. She often showed the rest of us the importance of enjoying music by her involvement in the choir and of walks in the gardens and forest here on campus each lunch hour. Most of all she showed her love for the students, always watching out for them and to assist and encourage. Her energy and love of life live on in the school as well as the students and alumni to which she contributed so much.

I was touched by Melody's support and encouragement as I considered registering in Tourism Management at Royal Roads University. I've attended other institutions in the past but nobody has provided the kind of assistance to me like she did.

This is not only a huge loss for her family, but for RRU.

It's with profound sadness that I offer my condolences to Arne, Shane, Sheena and Cody, and to to all her colleagues, students and alumni she touched.

My sincere condolences to the Andersson family - Arne, Shane, Corinne, Sheena and Cody,
I always told Melody, when we sang together in Choir at Royal Roads, that her parents named her well Melody was full of music, right to her soul. Melody is safe with the angels - and forever free.
Her love of nature was inspiring. May she rest in perpetual peace.
