Michael, when we first met sparks flew, we hit it off from the very beginning and had so much fun. There was laughter and love, good times and bad, so many memories for which you will always hold a special place in my heart. You gave me a beautiful daughter and for that I will always be thankful. You didn't have the opportunity to grow with Amanda through the steps of her life but I know you were very proud of the woman she became, your life decisions inspired the choices she has made. It's gratifying to know that you were able to be in contact with each other in your last days and in some ways say your final goodbyes, I know this is something she will treasure for her lifetime, memories last forever.

Although our paths lead us separately in different directions we both found happiness and love in our lives. Now you've gone to join your's, I wish you peace and eternal comfort.

Daddy, I never had the chance to respond to your last letter sent January 3 2006 so I will do so now. Speaking to you for the final time on Christmas Day was one of the hardest things I've ever had to do and I know you felt the same way given our many tears and knowing it would be our last talk. I am happy to know you left knowing how much I loved you and how much you truly meant to me despite the many miles between us. Since the day I was born I have always been your little girl and I always will be. You will always hold a very special place in my heart, I am happy you are finally at peace. Your final words to me were - "Life only comes one time. You have to live it to the best. It will give back what you put into it" You have inspired me to be the woman, wife and mother that I am, and for that, I am so grateful. We love you and we will miss you so much. Love always Amanda, Carlos and your grandson's Jayden and Riley

I will miss you, Uncle Mike - more than I can possibly express here. I'll never forget our fits of laughter over the silliest things. Say hi to Grandpa and Auntie Shannon for me. Give Dolores the hug and kiss she's been waiting for.

Love,

Lisa
