Michael House Obituary

It is with profound sadness that I have to inform you that my son Michael Bret House passed away on July 21st from complications of COVID and MS. He was 55.

Born November 25, 1965 in Victoria he is survived by his loving and devoted wife Kathy and son Jake in Las Vegas. There he built a very successful renovation business.
He is also survived by his mother Janet Stockman (Richard) and his father Tony (Audrey). He is also survived by his brother Robert (Debbie), niece Jessica (Brian), nephews David (Kimberley) and Kevin.
He was pre-deceased by his grandparents Mary and Alan Bascombe and by his in-laws, Marge and Bob Kocins of Pleasanton CA.
He was a graduate of Reynolds, and after playing baseball in the collegiate system in the US, he had a short but impressive career in Major League Baseball.
He had the most incredible memory and forgot nothing. He and Kathy owned several pleasure boats over the years as they loved to be on the water. He also owned a plane that he loved to fly and take passengers on sightseeing trips.
He met every challenge head on especially when he was diagnosed with MS. He was determined to beat it, but it was not to be.
Rest in peace Michael, you will be missed. We will always love you.

I only met Mike once when he invited my wife and I into his home to test ride a seated Segway he had purchased that I also had interest in. I found it amazing a complete stranger would allow us into their own to try something he had no financial interest in and then he took the time to follow up with me to answer questions to put me at ease. I just heard today through a mutual contact that he had passed and I´m truly sad for Mike & his wife. Rest In Peace Mike, I wish we had known each other better you made a lasting first impression. A genuinely good person!

Mike coached me in Little League baseball when I was 11 years old at Lakehill. He had an amazing impact on my playing career, which translated into my life. I wish I had taken the opportunity to contact him to let him know this.

Mike was always a great and pleasant person to be around. Grounded and caring his way with putting people at ease was truly an art form. You will be missed Mike in so many ways but we can rest easy knowing you fought the good fight til the end. Until Valhalla reunites us, rest easy my friend.

Sincere condolences to the House family. I have many fond memories playing baseball with and against Michael through the years. Little League, Babe Ruth, Senior Babe Ruth, umpiring and high school. Michael was always the best player on the diamond, a true force on the mound and in the batters box. Rest in peace Mike. You will be missed.

Sincere condolences to Mike's family. I followed Mike's baseball career and was thrilled of his accomplishments. He was an excellent soccer goalkeeper as well. He was always humble despite his talents. Till we meet again Mike.
