Hello Leonor:
I went to school with Michael and, of course, Alan was his teacher in the early 60's. We also had a nice visit on one of our many trips to Victoria, which continued until 1998. Mike never aged and I remember him wearing his HiY sweater to the last reunion I attended and it still fit him.
Alan just turned 92 and although he is frail, we still enjoy each other's company after 61 years of marriage. We have two daughters and three grandchildren and are grateful every day. We will remember Mike and also, you, Leanor, with a smile and happy memories. Take care of each other.

I first met Mike and Leonore at a wedding, I don't remember whose it was. The minute that I met them, I knew I had found special friends. Mike was just so much fun we used to get together and laugh all night long. It was it was absolutely fantastic. I just loved being with Mike and Leonore.
I remember the time somebody had broken in to the basement in their house and they put on a great big door with great big huge wooden slats that came down through two arms across the door. There was no way anybody was getting in their house.
I think Mike loved working for Malkins. When he worked for the Yorkshire trust he had a hard time saying no to people who really needed the money. He had such a soft heart.
We did so many things with them. Mike always had all his papers. I can remember going over there and walking through that it's a great stack of newspapers and he knew everything and he knew everybody. If you ever ran into him somewhere he had all the information with them right there. He was absolutely amazing guy.
Anyway, thank you so much, Suzanne for looking after him. I know you did and I'm sure he really appreciated it and I loved him very much. Thank you. Please say goodbye for me thank you, Sandy.

We´re so sorry to hear of Mike´s passing. As long- time neighbours on Grange Rd he always had a smile on his face and lots of stories to tell. His love of soccer and involvement with Gorge soccer persuaded us to enroll our kids with Gorge. Our boys were a few years younger than his and they followed Scott and Ross through their soccer journey with Gorge. Suzanne was closer to our daughter´s age. I was always amazed at how full Mike could fill that little car of his as he bombed around town. Later, we would run into him all over town on his bike and he still had that smile and always a kind word to say, and always asked how the kids were doing now that they were adults.
Deepest condolences to Scott, Ross and Suzanne from the Gerows.

We are so sorry to hear of the passing of Mike. Our condolences to Ross, Scott, and Suzanne.
I know my parents had many happy memories when they were together in their younger days. My parents have many happy memories of the times spent with Mike. They were laughing as they shared their memories of their happy times together.
I enjoyed his stories, his memories, and time in your families pool growing up.
Take care all.

I grew up with a Mike Jolly that lived in the 3300 block of Shelbourne st. This was the late 40's and early 50's. I remember many good times playing at his house and the empty field they owned on the north side of their property. I only lived two door north at 3409 Shelbourne street. His house had a very large monkey puzzle tree in the front yard. We also spent good times at the forested are to the west of our housed on the other side of Shelbourne. At that time Bowker Creek ran through this wooded area. Our family moved in about 1953 and we lost touch with one another and I often wondered what he was doing.
