Michael O'Connell Obituary
It is with heavy hearts we share with our friends and family the loss of our beloved Dad, Brother, Husband, Uncle and Friend. He lived with such passion, humor and life. He always had a big smile on his face, and made sure to share it with everyone around him. His attempts to re-tell a joke or funny story he heard somewhere always kept us in stitches. His smile, explosive energy, passion for life and use of duck tape will live on forever in everyone he touched. Dad grew up in Victoria, attended St. Louis College and worked at various jobs throughout BC. We will miss his sense of adventure, his love of family and his joy of life.

Oh, my goodness, Dana, what an awful shock! Raoul just talked to Mike on the phone not that long ago. He was such a genuinely nice guy - and so much fun. So sorry to hear of your loss.

Dear O'Connell family, even though it has been years since we have crossed paths I shed a tear for your dad today after realizing that we are all getting older. We were so sorry to hear of the sudden loss of our dear cousin Michael.
We will always remember his infectious smile and him showing up at an O'Connell family gathering dancing in his TuTu.

Trevor and I were so sad to here the news. It was always a pleasant surprise when Cousin Mike would appear at our very female dominated family get togethers. His tall stature and bright smile was the perfect centerpiece.
Our hearts go out to you all at such a truly awful time.

I am so sorry to hear of Mike passing, condolences to Dana, family and friends. Our paths have not crossed for awhile but we go back a long way, he was the big brother of my best friend and always thought he was the boss, we let him think that so he would drive us where we needed to go. Always a friend through all our families stages and ages. Good times and good memories. My prayers are with you all.
