To: the family of Morgan Goodridge,
I was watching the W5 program last night: Toxic Crisis - The Unwanted Visitor. And my heart was touched by Morgan’s story. I have a son who struggles as Morgan struggled. These are just a few words to offer my condolences to you on the sudden and tragic loss of a dear son, brother, grandson, friend and loved one. And to say that you have been upon our hearts and remembered in our prayers.
“God in love has promised grace for every trial. Strength for every sorrow, help for every mile. And He may in sympathy and unfailing love impart; help for each tomorrow and new courage to your heart.”
Dear God,
Take care of the special person who has come home to You; for this is someone, God, who is dear to my heart and it’s so hard for me to let go. I ask for Your healing and comfort; and bless me with the assurance, Lord, that Your arms are holding my loved one in perfect peace. Amen.
“No one is more secure than the one who is held in God’s hand. “ John 14: 1-6, odb.ca
“For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life.”
John 3:16
With Sympathy and Love,

FOR All PARENTS

“I’ll lend you for a little time, a child of mine,” he said.
“For you to love while he lives, and mourn when he is dead.
It may be six or seven years, or twenty five or six.
But will you, till I call him back, take care of him for me?
He’ll bring his charms to gladden you, and shall his stay be brief, you’ll have his lovely memories as solace for your grief.
I cannot promise he will stay, since all from earth return.
But there are lessons taught down there I want this child to learn.
I’ve looked the wide world over in my search for teacher’s true.
And from the throngs that crowd life’s lanes, I have selected you.
Now will you give him all your love, nor think the labour vain, nor hate me when I come to call, to take him back again.
I fancied that I heard them say, ‘Dear Lord, Thy will be done. For all the joy Thy child shall bring, the risk of grief we’ll run.
We’ll shelter him with tenderness; we’ll love him while we may.
And for the happiness we’ve known, will ever grateful stay.
But shall the angels call for him much sooner than we planned, we’ll brave the bitter grief that comes, and try to understand!’”
