Murray MCARTHUR Obituary
MCARTHUR Murray Allan, died peacefully at home with his family by his side on May 10, 2002 at age 58. Murray was born August 30, 1943 in Summerland B.C. and was predeceased by his brother, Don, in 1996. Murray was an inspiration to all duringhis lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. He will be lovingly remembered by his family, friends and co-workers as a gifted artist, gourmet cook and avid fly-fisherman who loved the outdoors and his garden. With his quiet manner, Murray was loved and respected by everyone privileged to know him. He will be greatly missed by his wife of 36 years, Lynn, daughter Dani Patenaude and son-in-law Paul, daughter Kristin, mother and father Eileen and Mac McArthur of Summerland B.C., sister Heather Cottrell (Tony), sister-in-law Dorothy McArthur, mother-in-law Laura Calvert, and his cherished grandchildren Gage and Jenee Patenaude, nieces and nephews John (Toni), Heather (Glen), Collin, Emily and Nick, and his cousins. The family would like to thank Dr. Gary Nielsen, all the staff at the Cancer Clinic, Victoria Hospice Society and Palliative Care Team, and Home Care Nurses, especially JoEllen, who helped ease us all through this difficult time with constant support and compassionate, loving care. We would also like to thank all the gang at Accutemp Refrigeration and Air Conditioning for continuing to embrace Murray as part of the team. Honouring Murray's wishes, there will be no service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Victoria Hospice Society, 1900 Fort Street, Victoria B.C., V8R 1J8.
