Nellie Menzies Obituary
Nellie passed away peacefully in hospital in Victoria.
Nellie was born in Anyox, BC and grew up in Prince Rupert. She retired to Victoria with her husband in 2002.
Nellie was an ardent volunteer for the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 27 Ladies Auxiliary in Prince Rupert and was involved in many other organizations and sports in Prince Rupert. In her retirement in Victoria Nellie was a regular participant at the Parkinson's exercise classes at the Cedar Hill Rec Centre and her baking was always appreciated after a grueling workout.
Nellie is survived by her devoted husband of almost 62 years, Andrew, her son, Victor and her daughter Marjorie Rochon (Guy) Nellie was blessed with two grandchildren, Keeley (Nathaniel) and Jake (Lindsay) and a special step grandson, Nathan. Also survived by her brother Voiislav (Sonny) Pavich and two sisters, Annie Cukrov and Marjorie Contini as well as many nieces and nephews.
Nellie was pre-deceased by parents, George and Eva Pavich and nephew, Michael Pavich.
A special thanks to the medical team at Victoria General and the Physio Therapist at the Senior outpatient Pavilion at Royal Jubilee.
