Debbie, Jason, Landon, Keegan and to the rest of your family, we are deeply sorry for your loss. I have very warm memories spending time with you all as kids and I always remember Nick as being so cheerful. I hope all of the happy memories you had with him help you through this difficult time. To all of the Downs Family
Our Heartfelt Thoughts are with you all. Nick is greatly missed by each of us. The warehouse is not the same without his morning Hello's, humour , smile and Friendly reminders To Sign Out the Equipment and Supplies.
His Fork Lift Skills left us in Awe, and once again because of his Friendly Reminders, we have all learned How to PROPERLY Load a Bin!!
Nick Will Always be Remembered Fondly in each of our Hearts.

To the Downs Family. My condolences to you all. Nick carefully tended the gardens and grounds at the Emerald Isle for years. I fondly remember his calm presence and talent with the gardens. We could always count on him. May memories bring you peace.

Perhaps they are not Stars but rather openings in Heaven where the love of our lost ones pours through and shines down upon us to let us know they are happy.
Dear Deb,Jason, Jen, Landon, Amanda, Keagan and the Downs Family. Just want you to all know how much we all miss Nick. He was a big part of our lives at Downs Construction and also a great friend. The days do not seem to be the same..but his memory and spirit live on..I feel him around at the shop..I hear the warehouse door open and stop to listen..Hey Elsie are you there..I miss that. Thinking of you all.

Nick brought humour and fun to our Forest Service work group, along with a strong work ethic. So many great memories of epic Christmas lunches, and other celebrations throughout the years. A very hard loss. Our hearts our with you and your family Deb.

My condolences go to you Debby,Jason Landon and Keegan. I am sorry for your loss. I did not know Nick all that well but he was a good man, father and husband and Grandpa. He and I used to share a beer(or two) at Jasons baseball tournament on Fathers Day and also on the Grandkids birthdays. Nick was always in good humor and a pleasure to spend time with.

Dear Debbie, Landon, Keegan and Jason as well as all of his other family members and friends whose lives were touched by this lovely, quiet spoken and gentle man. I pondered the ways that Nick, your beloved husband and father, as well as your other family members had touched our lives for so many years and in so many lovely ways. I remember Nick always as a quiet gentle man, steadfast in maintaining his colorful flower gardens and great vegetable gardens.....it was always a beautiful drive up to your home. Always greeted with a smile each time I came to the door to pick up William those many years. Truly there are no words that can express my deepest sympathy as to the loss you must feel at this time. My thoughts and prayers go out to each and all of you with hope that peace, kindness and gentleness may surround you and soothe each of you.
