LOUGHEED, Norman Newton Flt. Lieut. (Ret), RCAF June 23, 1915 March 13, 2005 Born in Calgary, Alberta, peacefully passed away in Victoria with his loving granddaughter Muffy at his side. It is with great sadness that we say goodbye to a loving, kind and wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He enjoyed a long and colorful life being a gifted artist. But his passion was big game hunting which took him over much of the world. He also opened the first Indian sweater store in Victoria (in the late 40's) which he loved and was quite proud of its success. He leaves behind his loving wife, Flora; granddaughter Muffy McLay (Bill Myles), greatgranddaughter Kayla Ayn Myles; grandson Robin McLay, great-granddaughter Victoria Ayn McLay, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his beloved daughter Judith Ayn Maxham and brothers James and William Lougheed. There will be no formal service in Victoria and his remains will be interred in the family plot in Calgary. If desired, donations in Norman's memory may be made to Beckley Farm Lodge, 530 Simcoe Street, Victoria, BC V8V 4W4 Our grateful thanks to all the staff at Beckley Farm Lodge who gave Norman such kind and loving care. Also our special thanks to Dr. Caspar Friesen. 53589
