ANDERSON, Olafur November 4, 1929 April 18th, 2012 With great sadness we announce the sudden passing of Oli. Born in Riverton, MB, Oli was predeceased by his parents, Magnus and Vega Anderson; siblings, Rosa, Harold and Magnus and his beloved son, Randall. He is survived by his loving wife of 59 years, Mae Gudrun; daughter, Kristine (Dennis); son, Vincent; daughter, Pamella (Mike); daughterin-Law, Fran; grandchildren, Cheri (Mike), Jill, Cory (Erin), Eric, Craig, Justin, Nicole (Nathan), Sacha, Brett; Great grandchildren, Kale (Jen), Carly, Billy, Gregory, Carissa, Kassia and his faithful companion, Fusi. Oli will be remembered for his love and his laughter. Oli loved living near the ocean, where he spent endless hours beachcombing with his grandchildren, fishing, walking Fusi on the boardwalk, always taking time to stop and say hello. Our "Papa " was always there for us. His endless love and devotion to his family, especially his wife, will be a legacy we will always remember. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him, but never forgotten. A Celebration of Life will be held at Sands Funeral Chapel Colwood, 317 Goldstream Ave, (250) 478-3821, on Saturday, April 21, 2012 at 1:00 pm with visitation 30 minutes prior. Reception to follow. Dear Mae, Kristine, Cheri and all the family, the Jonasson girls send our saddened condolences, Oli and Dad had such a special friendship over their lifetime, i will never forget the phone call back in the 70's as oli called to inquire about Norms boat for sale, i ran to my dad and said its one of your Riverton friends on the phone, when he was done he said it was someone to ask about the boat, well when Oli drove in our driveway saw Jonasson on the mailbox and could not beleive he had found Normie, once again they were fast friends a friendship that started as children growing up in Riverton, my latest memories are of Oli and our Dad sitting together in the Sooke Arena watching their boys play hockey, just seeing those 2 with their heads together laughing over old times was heartwarming, we hope these memories are comforting during these sad sad days, all our love Wendy Ruth and Randi Jonasson
