Patricia Walker Obituary

WALKER, Patricia Irene
27 May 1944 - 21 February 2026
Patricia Irene Walker passed away peacefully on February 21, 2026, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, B.C., at the age of 81, following a brief and sudden illness. She was surrounded by her loving family.
Born in London, England, Patricia was predeceased by her parents, George and Janet Aylward, and by her beloved husband, Ed Hale. She is survived by her devoted daughter Denise (Mark), her devoted son Rod, her cherished grandchildren Kyle (Krista), Dustin and Brittany and her adored great grandson Alec. She also leaves behind her brother John and sister Linda.
Patricia moved to Canada at the age of 13 and lived in Kelowna and Nelson before settling permanently in her beloved Victoria in 1984. She attended the University of Victoria, where she excelled in creative writing, and she remained an avid reader throughout her life, especially drawn to the literary classics.
Patricia enjoyed a long and fulfilling career as an antiques dealer and was well known and respected within the antiques community. In 1993, she proudly opened her own shop, White Ram Antiques, on Yates Street, where she shared her passion for history, craftsmanship, and unique treasures.
A loving and generous soul, Patricia cherished her family above all else. She found great joy in travel and was grateful for the opportunity to return to England on three occasions. She and her husband Ed travelled extensively throughout the United States in search of "Hucks"-their special word for rare, valuable finds discovered at estate sales before anyone else recognized their worth.
Patricia greeted life with joy, compassion, and an unwavering optimism. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her, especially her children, Denise and Rod, who will forever carry with them the memory of her unconditional love and support.
In her final years, Patricia made her home at The Cridge Centre for the Family, where she was known for her kindness, her warmth, and her remarkable ability to see the best in everyone.
Beautiful, intelligent, passionate, caring, and stylish, Patricia will be forever cherished and deeply missed.
The family extends heartfelt thanks to the compassionate doctors and nurses on the 5th floor of the Royal Jubilee Hospital for their exceptional care and kindness.
A celebration of Patricia's life will be held at a later date.
