Patrick Hamilton Obituary

HAMILTON, Patrick Joseph July 6, 1951 - July 4, 2018 In Loving Memory Patrick Joseph Hamilton died Wednesday, July 4, 2018 in Black Creek, BC with his family after battling cancer. Born July 6, 1951 in Victoria, B.C. and First son of Harold and Dorothy Hamilton. Pat was a construction worker but found his love in wood. He created the most beautiful works of art out of reclaimed wood. He was very meticulous about the end results. He added that extra touch. Some will remember him by the exquisite woodworking he has done in their homes and the furniture he has made. He was a very caring, kindhearted and giving person who loved helping people whenever he could. He has touched the hearts of many. In his younger days he liked to hunt and was from a family of hunters. He would quite often reminisce about his grandfather, John A. Hamilton who was a trapper. He also loved fishing, drawing and gardening, as well as being an avid reader. He was a great pool player and often watched snooker. He is predeceased by his grandparents, and father, Harold Hamilton He is survived by his wife, Laurie Grais, sons: John and Brendan Hamilton, his mother, Dorothy Hamilton, sisters and brothers: Gail Nowacki, Anita Coe, Leslie Hamilton, Ron Hamilton, Barb Slater, Julie Hamilton and many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends. He was a Loving, Generous and Compassionate person who will live on Forever in our Hearts. Thanks go out to all in their generosity and kind words while Pat and our family was going through this. Celebration of Life will be held at the Black Creek Community Centre on Saturday, August 25, 2018 from 1pm - 5pm. If possible a donation of finger foods would be appreciated. My brother in law Pat added his magic touch to our home with beautiful wood trim, a fireplace mantle, cabinetry and more. When admiring his craftsmanship we will always be thinking of him. I will also remember Pat talked enthusiastically with his hands, his laughter and smile was infectious. He was a private guy but a good guy. I know this because all our dogs took a shine to him whenever he came to the house. I will miss you Pat...until we meet again.

To the Hamilton family. I remember Pat as a great kid with whom I played with in James Bay. I am sorry that he left this earth so early in life. My prayers are with you all now.
