Paul HANSEN Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Paul Mahlin Hansen, born on October 13, 1928 in Salt Lake City, Utah and passed away on October 17, 2023 in Saanichton, British Columbia.

Paul was an accomplished man, a lawyer, professor, judge and chartered accountant.
He was a passionate and driven individual who loved to work on projects.
Over the years he also enjoyed spending time with his dogs, tending his flower garden, painting, and visiting his cows.
One of my favourite memories of him is when he found a nest of quail eggs, went and bought an incubator and all the little chicks that hatched followed him round the yard in single file. He was a true animal lover.

Paul loved his wife Marie of 68 years more than anything, his two daughters Jane Hansen and Liz Turner, his 4 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.

We extend our gratitude to our friends and caregivers Plerie Patnon and David Williams for helping us care for our parents. Thank you Plerie for your continued friendship and dedication to our family, and to David for your unwavering friendship to Paul and our family. We could not imagine going through this journey without you both.

Condolences may be offered at www.earthsoption.com and maybe listen to his favourite song https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VqhCQZaH4Vs.

Paul will be deeply missed and forever in our hearts.

Hello.
Paul was my uncle Paul. I am the son of his sister Vernis.
We didn't have a lot chance to be with Uncle Paul, Aunt Marie, and Jane and Liz, but I do remember them fondly.
I have wondered where he was and how he was doing.
I think I am a lot like him from what I know. I wish I had known him more and better.
Hello to my cousins.

I was named after Uncle Paul. Although I never knew him very well, I knew that my dad looked up to him and admired him. I visited Paul a few years ago with my wife, Mindee, and we had a wonderful time getting to know each other. I could tell he loved life and his family.
