Paul Taylor Obituary

TAYLOR, Paul Elliot April 19, 1989 - July 24, 2015 Beloved son of Stephen and Beverly Taylor, loyal brother to his sister Madison. Lost his fight with his delusions. Paul's last few years were a struggle with the effects of schizophrenia. Paul attended Pauline Haarer School and briefly NDSS. He finished his education at Shawnigan Lake and upon graduation joined the Royal Canadian Navy as an officer. He served proudly for five years and was just two courses short of graduation for an Arts Degree at the University of Victoria. He was a gentle soul who always cared how everyone else was feeling. He was noble, honourable, a loyal friend and always fun to be around. We miss him so much. The world is a smaller place without him. He leaves behind his loving and heartbroken parents Stephen and Beverly, sister Madison, a large extended family of aunts, uncles, cousins and his best friends Kyle, Chase and Brad. Funeral Service will be held July 31, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Sands Funeral Chapel, 1 Newcastle Avenue, Nanaimo. Condolences may be left online at sandsfuneral.com/Nanaimo

Dear Bev & Family,

I am so sorry for your grief, sorrow & the loss of Paul. I know Julie can identify with your journey, and Daniel was born only a few weeks before Paul. We are gripped with a wrenching pain with you, and can identify with your loss. You are in my prayers, Bev!

We will miss Paul, we enjoyed being with him all those years at Lake's and having known him was a blessing. He was pleasant and respectful around his friends and staff. Gone too young and will always be with us in spirit. "Riposa in Pace" - Vito and Cathy Pasquale

This came out of left field today, when I caught news of Paul's passing. I remember all the good times we shared at school but then everything changed after that. I wish I had gotten to stay in touch with him more than I did. You will not be forgotten Paul #NonSibiSedAliis

You had such a beautiful soul, too beautiful for this world. Always smiling, always laughing, with a cheeky grin.
There was never a dull moment with you. You had a wild heart and good heart. And you always had a surprise up your sleeve. Constantly teasing and taunting, but always in the kindest spirit. You were so brave and strong. You were meant for great things. I know you'll continue to do great things. You'll watch out for those you love, you'll stand up for those in need, and you'll be making us laugh and smile when we need it the most. I'll never forget you and I'll always miss you. All my love Paully. Take care up there xox
