My late father was Perrys boxing coach & trainer for many, many years. Perry was a part of my fam, my brother so to speak. I have vivid memories of watching Perrys fights in the ring & cheering him on because I was & still am proud of him. Perry was always a kind soul & a true gentleman, he cared about a lot of people & quite honestly I never heard him utter a word of ill will towards anyone, even his opponents. The true sign of a top notch contender. He shared such a love & passion for the sport & it was cool to watch Perry & my late father over the years build such a strong bond as my late father was undoutedly Perrys biggest fan. Whenev we ran into oneanother he would always ask about my late father & we would not only share memories but also some good olde laughs. I am deeply saddened at the loss of Perry Evans, may his family be comforted in knowing that their father, son & brother will be forever remembered as a kind & caring man who touched the lives of many, many people. My codolences go out to his family & friends alike, Rest In Peace Perry

Condolences to the whole Evans family. I met Perry at the boxing gym in the 1990s in Victoria and through so many rounds of sparring and hitting the bag together, he was always as quick with a smile as he was with lending a helping hand on how to improve. A genuine, caring guy.

I first met Perry at George Jay. Spent a lot of time playing, laughing and fighting as kids do. Even though our lives went different paths he always had a smile and a warm welcome as if we had never parted. No matter what was going on with him he would want to know how I was doing. One of the best pure athletes I have ever met. Very sad to hear your gone my friend. Peace at last.

Perry you are going to be missed by so many people. I will forever remember running into you downtown or on the bus going to Langford. You always had the biggest smile when seeing me, and always told me how much I reminded you of my dad. You are the reason that my parents got together and the reason I am here on earth. R.i.p. and I know you will be looking down at all of us while living your best life up there . ❤❤❤

I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of Perry. My deepest condolences
go the family and the friends that loved him.
I met Perry over 50 years ago at the Central Park with his sister Inola.
I later learned that we both had the love of sports in general, in common.
I was privileged to train with him.
Later the fundamentals that he taught me in boxing, helped me become a healthier and stronger person, and also helped other people to K.O cancer.
He had the ability not only to make people laugh, but to put them in a good mood. I think that he lost his calling as a stand up comedian.
In closing, I would just say, that although a large part of Perry is lost, there is an even larger part of Perry that will stay with me through
his teachings I was lucky to know such a unique human being

My childhood friend my adult friend my brother . I will miss you deeply Perry.I will miss being somewhere and hearing out of the blue "Hey Danny" and there you would be with a big smile and a bigger heart. We would always talk no matter how busy I was and at the end of our conversation you would always tell me you loved me and I tell you it right back. When we were younger in our party days hanging with you it was always an exciting time that always led us to so many epic adventures. I have so many stories as do so many people that loved you.I am going to miss you so much my friend. You can rest peacefully now. You were always a hero in my eyes .Good bye my Brother

We,vè known Perry since the 70,s. He always had a smile and an open heart whenever we saw him. He would always have your back and help if he could. He has had many years of service in the community, starting when he was very young. Boxing was a love if his and could he ever run. He,d go for miles, hung over or not, lol. He will again see his love Gail, and see his sis Enola. My heart hurts, a hit of sunshine has left our lives.
