FRAZIER, Peter Douglas
1950 - 2025
It is with deep sorrow and an overwhelming sense of love that we announce the passing of Peter Frazier on April 6, 2025, at the Royal Jubilee Hospital in Victoria, BC, at the age of 74.
Peter was predeceased by his father Vernon Frazier and his mother Daphne Frazier (nee Till).
Peter was a beloved husband to Libby MacRae (nee Stephenson), his devoted and cherished wife of 23 years. Together, they faced the challenges of life with resilience, grace, and unwavering love. Libby was by his side through it all, especially as he bravely battled Parkinson's disease.
Peter will be lovingly remembered by his children, Alexandra (Paul) and Eric (Meghan), as well as his step-children, Sandra (Stefano) and Gordon (Qiao). His grandchildren, Braelyn and Piper, along with his step-grandchildren, Vittoria, Alessandro, and Isa, will carry forward the cherished memories of their Granddad.
Fondly remembered by his siblings, Jacqueline (Robert) and Robert (Christine), and his many nieces and nephews.
Though Parkinson's disease slowly took much from him, Peter's spirit remained undimmed. Even as words became harder for him to find, he maintained his trademark dry humor, patience, and kindness. His smile and gentle presence were felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him, especially those who lived and worked at the Summit at Quadra Village.
Peter's life was a testament to strength, courage, and the quiet beauty of love shared with family and friends. He will forever be remembered in the hearts of those who knew him.
A service will be held at the Sands Funeral Chapel Colwood on Saturday, May 10 at 1:00 with interment at Hatley Memorial Gardens and a reception to follow.
Memorial donations in Peter's name may be made to the Eldercare Foundation (gvef.org).
The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the compassionate staff at The Summit at Quadra Village and Royal Jubilee Hospital, who provided Peter with extraordinary care, comfort, and dignity during his final years.
