Peter PEITLER Obituary

Passed away peacefully at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, on January 27, 2013.

Peter was born in Kapla, Slovenia on May 5, 1925. He is survived by his loving wife, Ferdinanda and is lovingly remembered by his son, Peter (Brenda) and daughter, Aurelia (Tony). He was a loving Father and a more loving grandfather/great-grandfather to Jennifer, Lexy, Amaya and Amelie.

Coming to Canada in 1956, Peter was a welder in the Somass Saw Mill for 36 years. He established one of the first Rainbow Trout Farms on Vancouver Island and created his own Shangri-La on the edge of Cherry Creek. "He will be greatly missed"

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 2, 2013, at 1:00 pm at Sequoia Gardens Memorial, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. Condolences may be offered to the family at www.mccallbros.com.

I remember Peter as an honourable and principled man who dealt fairly with all. He was true to his word and could be counted on in all respects. The world is a poorer place without him.
