FARMER, Ramon Frederick
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, Ramon (Ray) Farmer on November 30th, 2025 at the age of 91. Ray was predeceased by his wife of 66 years, Muriel, in 2020.
Ray lived a full, fun life. Born May 15, 1934, in Saskatoon Saskatchewan, he moved to the James Bay area of Victoria with his family at the age of 4 after the sudden death of his father.
Ray was very involved in the community and volunteered countless hours with many organizations including the Victoria Shamrocks Lacrosse Club, Vancouver Island Construction Association and the Victoria JC's. He was always there to coach his children's Lacrosse and Soccer teams and devoted what time he had to other endeavours they took on. He was a wonderful family man.
Ray established his own business in 1965, Associated Sheet Metal, a legacy that remains in the family today being run by his three older sons. Once retired Ray was able to indulge in his passion of woodworking.
Ray and Muriel raised their family in the Northridge Subdivision where they met many lifetime friends. They particularly enjoyed camping, travelling, boating, fishing and hosting, never a dull moment.
Ray leaves behind his five children Fred, Stephen, Ramon (Jayne), Anne (Steve) and Dan (Brenda). His treasured grandchildren, Brian (BJ), Clayton, Aaron, Ashley, Elizabeth, Jocelyn, Amanda, Natasha and Kelsey and his 7 great grandchildren. Ray also leaves his twin sister Joan and older sister Elaine and their families.
