Raymond G. NELSON

With deep sorrow we announce the peaceful passing of Ray with his loving wife Peggy (Drewoth) of 59 years by his side.

He was predeceased by his eldest son Barry and brothers Jim and Gerry.

Ray will be terribly missed by his sons Corey (Brenda) and Mark (Barb), grandchildren Graham (Sara), Daniel (Lindsey), Tanya, Bradley, Carly, Taylor, many nieces, nephews and friends, and his beautiful new great granddaughter Nora Grace whom he was so happy to meet.

Ray was a very friendly, easygoing fellow who enjoyed golfing, playing board games & spending lots of time with his family and friends.

Retiring in 1979 after 25 years as a communicator in the Navy, Ray and Peggy moved to Abbotsford where he worked for the school district. They returned to Victoria in 2000 to be closer to all the family.

His Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 22nd at 2:00 p.m. at The Sequoia Centre at McCall Gardens, 4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, B.C.
