Raymond G. SIMMS

December 16, 1963 - June 05, 2025

It is with heavy hearts our family announces the passing of Raymond George Simms on June 5th at the age of 61 years. Ray will be lovingly remembered by his wife Julie of 23 years. He is survived by son, Liam and daughter Abbigail; sisters, Laura and Julie; brother Paul; and mother-in-law Carol. He was Pre-deceased by his Mom and Dad, Barbara and Robert; and brother-in-law Geoff. Ray was born in Victoria in 1963 to Barbara and Robert Simms. His love for his family was profound as he cherished time spent over the years with many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He worked in the construction industry for most of his life on Vancouver Island, Greater Vancouver, and even Bermuda! Throughout his adult life, Ray had a love for fishing and was an active team member on several bowling leagues until his diagnoses of Muscular Dystrophy limited his abilities.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday July 5th, 2025 at 1pm at Sands Funeral Chapel 317 Goldstream Avenue, Victoria, BC V9B 2W4
