ADDEY, Robert Giles February 24, 1945 - April 4, 2022 Giles went to be with his Lord and Saviour, passing away suddenly in his home at the age of 77 years, having suffered a fatal heart attack. Born in Windsor, England, and moving to Benenden in Kent in 1949, he attended Claremont Preparatory School, prior to moving on to Tonbridge School where he excelled in cross country running. After his school years, Giles moved to London and worked for the Bank of London & South America. Following in the footsteps of his older sister and brother, Giles travelled to Canada in 1970 to stay with relatives, enjoying the country so much, he decided to stay. While initially landing in Toronto and staying in the GTA, he moved west, living and working in Banff, and ultimately moving to Victoria in 1972. Giles found his career, working for the Vital Statistics Agency for over 30 years prior to retiring in 2009, and taking up the bookkeeping at Central Baptist Church among many other activities supporting the community. Giles enjoyed travelling, gardening, reading, working on his computer, serving his community, and most of all, spending time with his family. He is predeceased by his parents, brother Edward, and nephew Simon, and survived by his 'Darling' Wife Sharon; daughter Sarah (John) Greenlaw; son Jonathan (Dominique) Addey; grandchildren Simeon, Micah, Rebekah, Noah Greenlaw; Charlie and Liam Addey; his sister Sue (Adrian) in England, and niece and nephews. Service will be held at 10AM, Tuesday, April 12th, at McCall Gardens (4665 Falaise Drive, Victoria, BC V8Y 1B4). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada in Memory of Giles Addey. Condolences may be offered to the family at
