Robert Anderson Obituary

It's with a heavy heart and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Robert. Surrounded by family at Victoria Hospice, he lost a brief but courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. He will be sadly missed by his dear wife of 50 years Deanna, their loving children Jeffrey (Dyan), Terril Rados (Dennis) grandchildren Caitlyn, Dylan and Jenna Rados. Robert is survived by his brothers David (Lynne), Ken, Tom (Sue) and their families. He is also survived by in-laws Harry and Louise Lundquist, Marlene (Ken) Skorey and their families. Rob was predeceased by his parents Ken and Mary Anderson. Born in Vancouver, B.C., Rob also lived in Kelowna, Powell River, Coquitlam and Victoria. Employed for over 30 years by the Western and Royal Insurance Companies in Vancouver and Victoria, until he retired in 1996. Rob was a past executive member and coach for the Gordon Head youth Soccer and Baseball Associations. Robert always enjoyed being with his family and friends either travelling throughout Canada and the USA by motor home, cruising the high seas, vacationing at Powell Lake or relaxing at their place in Lake Cowichan.

Just heard of Bob's passing and am so very sorry for your loss. I had the pleasure of working with him in the early 70's at Royal Insurance in Vancouver and later in Victoria where he was our Royal Field Rep. while I was working for Brown Bros. Agencies. I found him to be such a warm, fun and caring boss. My thoughts and prayers go out to you Deanna and your family. Fondly remembered. Rosalie Neville.

Sorry to hear of this sad news. I appreciated Bob taking the time as my youth soccer coach. He was a great, easy going guy who will be missed by many but not forgotten.
