Robert Coburn Obituary

Robert Wallace King Coburn (or "Bob" as he was known to most), 86, passed away peacefully in Victoria, BC on July 9, 2025. Bob was born in Vancouver and always looked back fondly at the excitement that came with growing up in the city during the 1940s and 1950s. In Vancouver, Bob met and later married Judy (then Newman). After a brief but memorable stint in the Yukon, Bob and Judy moved to Kamloops where they spent the next 25 years raising a family, enjoying summers at Shuswap Lake and building life-long friendships. Upon retiring, Bob and Judy joined their daughter Kathleen and her husband Carmen (deceased 2017) in Victoria where Bob fully embraced his golden years. He filled his days playing competitive bridge, taking daily walks by the ocean and cheering on (with little reward) the Cleveland Browns and Guardians. Bob is survived by Judy, his beloved wife of nearly 60 years, his daughter Kathleen, his son Michael (Kristina), his grandson Theo and his brother David (Marilyn). He is predeceased by his brother John (Sharon). The family wishes to extend its deep appreciation for the kindness and care that Bob received from the staff of Beckley Farm Lodge during his final months.
As per Bob's request, no service will be held but we're certain he would want those who choose to imbibe, to raise a glass (preferably of good scotch) to toast his memory.

So sorry to hear of your loss of Bob.
Our family has such fond memories of camping together at the Shuswap all those years ago.
I know my mom and dad truly enjoyed the time they spent with you and Bob, those memories are special to us all.

Thinking of you during this difficult time.
