Warren was a friend, colleague and mentor to me. Our careers as oceanographers crossed paths many times and I have Warren to thank for bringing me into the Environmental Technology program at Camosun. We had lots of adventure at field camp and he is fondly remembered by numerous students for his passion in birding. He inspired many to become birders. I already miss the coffee chats at the Roost that we continued into our retirements.

We´re so very sad to hear of Warren´s passing. We have many good memories of sharing family dinners with Warren, Lisa and Robert, and enjoying peach pie on their back porch. Warren was so generous in sharing his knowledge with us about birds and even more generous when he shared his love of scotch with us. Cheers Warren - we´ll miss you dearly.

I knew Warren in many ways, since first meeting him in Halifax.
Since then, we, my partner and I, Diana Rowles, have interacted with him at Camosun College, and many lunches ar the Golden City restauant, where we let Lisa do the ordering for us. We will miss him.

A good friend since, as a graduate student at the time, he was my lab instructor in Oceanography. I´ll hold many memories of times on the water on his boat and mine. Regular breakfast chats and seeing him beam with pride as he spoke of Robert and Christine. A good friend and he will be missed.
