Robert Alois Katzer

KATZER, Robert Alois November 17, 1928 - January 30, 2015 It is with great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Husband, Father and Grandfather Bob Katzer. Bob immigrated to Canada from Leipzig, Germany in 1939. Bob joined the Royal Canadian Navy in 1947 and served his country for many years. When he retired he pursued a successful career in Real Estate. He devoted much of his spare time to the church and community. Bob married Ruth Huddleston on June 28, 1950. Bob dearly loved and was very proud of his family. He is survived by his loving wife, Ruth; children Russell, Lee-Ann (Don), Robert and grandchildren, Corey and Michael Venn; sister-in-law, Vivian Katzer; niece, Janice (Harvey) and nephew Grant. Bob was a very dedicated, honest, loving man who will be sorely missed. The family would like to thank Claire & Rebecca for their care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charity. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 21, 2015 at 11:00 am. at Trinity Presbyterian Church, 2964 Tillicum Rd.
