We just found out that Doc had passed on and it brought a tear to us. George and I had many great conversations and laughs with Doc and Jo. I am sorry the distance kept us apart. We will always remember Doc in our hearts.

I remember Roger as a true sailor. His vast shipboard medical knowledge, gained over a lifetime at sea, was willingly shared with those who followed in his foot steps. His sage advice saved many of us from the eccentricities of naval service, and for that, I am forever in his debt. Over the past few years, we would cross paths and he would have a kind word, share a laugh, and tell a tall tale... I'll think of him every time I head over to Canadian Tire in Langford! At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember him.

Roger:

You are now in "Jo's" arms once again. You are missed by all who knew and worked with you, especially me. We had some great times on TD and at work in MARPAC; also, great times socializing at the "CFSA" club house.

Vaya con Dios!

Please accept my condolences on the loss of Roger.
In life one meets many people yet only a few leave a lasting impression or included when recounting humorous tales of the past but Roger was definitely one such character. A true sailor!
