Ross McCormack Obituary

McCORMACK, Ross
1951 - 2022

Until We Meet Again

Ross left us suddenly on December 20, 2022 at the age of 71.
On June 28, 1951, the world was blessed with a beautiful soul who I met in 1972 and became his wife in 1981. We loved being together and enjoyed 41 exceptional years together. His compassion for all creatures big and small and his love for me and his family was shared with all who knew him. He was a creative and talented artisan and musician who will live on in our hearts forever.
Survived by his spouse Cynthia, son Shaun and grandchildren Ashley, Caleb and Izaya, brother Alan, sisters Eileen, Cathy, and Barbara McCormack.
Predeceased by his parents Barbara and Clint McCormack and brothers John and Michael.

Cynthia will be holding a Celebration of Life on January 21, 2023, for an afternoon Open House from 1:00 - 5:00 pm to share stories and music. This will be held at 1025 Inverness Rd, Victoria BC in our Lounge.
In lieu of flowers donations to Greenpeace Canada would be appreciated.
Condolences may be offered at www.sandsvictoria.ca

I have known Ross since he early 70s. He was a gentle soul who stood by his convictions, he will be sadly missed. I don't think I can listen to the Beetles or play chess without thinking of you old friend. Until we meet again.

Cynthia, I so enjoyed sharing in the wonderful moments you and Ross shared on FB. We clearly live with the same life-values of nature and do-no-harm to all life. On behalf of Vince and myself, we have made a Greenpeace donation in honour of Ross.

to my DAUGHTER CYNTHIA. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. and I am so glad that I am living in the same building. and was able to be with you right away. ROSS was doing his professional job that he loved. making sure that all his duties were performed. and graciously being friendly with people he cared for. it was a sad moment for you that day. I am so glad I was there for you. the LOVE you have for each other will live on forever. we had little incidences that have happened that are unexplainable, and that Is very nourishing to our hearts. letting us know thier is life after death. Great great things like a bell ringing when you and me were sitting together. lights flickering, your computer coming on with ROSS'S picture.in the middle of the night. and many other small and good things. I LOVE YOU so much. and I truly know how much you LOVED each other will miss our times together with LOVING MEMORIES forever. Your DAD.

I have many fond memories from the 70's of Ross & my cousin Cindy. We had a lot of fun in those days & Ross was a big part of that time. Ross had a very kind soul & was adaptable to whatever was happening at the time but wouldn't hesitate to express his opinion on living naturally & organically. Cindy & Ross were a well-matched couple. Cindy flamboyant & Ross calm & easy going, in turn complimenting each other. Alan & I had many good years with Ross & Cindy in the 80's on. Cindy, I love you "Cuz" & hope in time your pain will lessen. R.I.P. Ross

Ross was such a beautiful man whom I´ve known for 50 + years. His passing has filled me with deep SADNESS. My memories of him are of the wonderful, loving husband he was to his wife, Cynthia. As well as the many talents he had, the jewellery he made & the impressive stained glass windows he created. The songs he sang while playing his guitar. He was always so impeccably dressed...even if he was only wearing a t-shirt & jeans. I love the compassion he had for animals, & that he was such a dedicated vegan cook extraordinaire!!! I´ll always remember how wonderful he was with young children too, for example with Ashley, when she was a youngster & my grandson, Jesse, to name a couple. There are so many things I will miss about Ross, including his very quirky, fun sense of humour. I´m so, so sorry he´s no longer with us. Love & miss Ross, he will forever live on in my heart. xox

Ross was a wonderful man, was a great decision to hire him on as our residential manager. He was always there for me and my parents. The world lost a great human being. He will never be forgotten. Our hearts go out to Cynthia and his family.

Ross and I grew up in the fifties and sixties amongst us four boys and three girls. Of course, these were fun and very memorable times ...usually ... lol. We got on with our somewhat separate lives in the seventies, then became closer again after the eighties. Ross was a good brother and I'll miss our get togethers, camping, telling jokes, acting silly, playing guitars and listening to music.
He left us too soon. RIP Brother Ross
Heartfelt Condolences Cindy

Wonderful memories of my brother Ross will live with me forever, Ross was the most thoughtful and kind man I´ve ever known, he was always giving good advice on how to eat & live healthy & suggesting ways to save the environment, planet & animals. He spoiled me rotten when I was kid on birthdays & Christmas with beautiful gifts and lots of jewellery as he was a jeweller back in the day. Also Ross & Cindy took me in their home for 1 year when my mom passed in 1994 I will never forget that, both Ross & Cindy cared for me as if I were their own child, I will cherish the fun times and his country style singing, guitar playing and funny sense of humor forever. I miss you already brother, how quiet the planet is without you here. Your brothers & sisters love & miss you. Love you, Barbie xo
