Russell SCUTT Obituary

SCUTT Russell Kenneth, beloved husband of Ruby Scutt of Sidney, B.C. passed away peacefully at the Saanich Peninsula Hospital on December 10, 2002 after a lengthy illness at the age of 83 years. Russ, who had just celebrated his 25th Wedding Anniversary with Ruby, was predeceased by his first wife Winifred. Besides his loving wife Ruby, Russ's surviving family members include Simon (Cheryl), Robin and Keith (Janet), seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his step children Charlotte (Brock), Elaine and Wayne, one step grandchild and two step great-grandchildren. Russ, a Second World War Veteran who served as a flight mechanic with the Royal Air Force in Burma, had a distinguished career with Prudential Assurance Company Ltd in his native England and in Canada. A long time Rotarian, Russ was a past President of the Sidney chapter of Rotary International. His passions were golf and gardening, with roses being one of his favourite flowers. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, 1319 Mills Rd, Sidney, B.C., at 1:00p.m. Wednesday, December 18, 2002 with Reverend Bob Baillie officiating. Cremation entrusted to Vancouver Island Memorial Society.
