Sherry McIntosh Obituary

Our dear Sherry (AKA Sherry Berry) passed peacefully after a 3 ½ month struggle with an aggressive cancer She was 69 years old.
A Victoria girl, predeceased by her father Russell, her brother Grant. Survived by her mother June, sister Sandi (Mike), daughter Jessica, son Patrick (Haley), stepdaughter Sarah (Bart), grandchildren Ariana (Makayla), James & Elliot, nieces Ashley & Nicole.
Sherry had an innate gift for drawing others in making everyone feel valued & included. She planted seeds of love, respect, & joy wherever she went. She was an absolute perfectionist & talented creative who immersed herself in many different artistic endeavours & in every case she produced such beautiful work. In her employed years she was always admired for the quality of her work & her pride in pushing the bounds of whatever she was faced with.
She was a social soul who found great joy & energy that was continuously fed by the richness she believed surrounded her & from which she was nurtured. She always wanted to be with others. She loved & was equally nourished by music: cue Prince. Music was a daily staple that helped balance her life.
Ultimately Sherry was a caregiver & a mom to us all. She was deeply spiritual & spent much time coming to understand her relationship with the gifts she was offered. She loved dragonflies & saw them as a form of spiritual messenger. She knew how to laugh, how to hold on tight to those she loved & cherished, & most of all she knew how to have fun.
I know those whose lives she touched will miss her in so many ways. Please know I was gifted with the most beautiful loving wife & life-partner one could ever imagine. After over 36 joy-filled years, I will miss her immensely. A friend reminded me that gratitude is at the heart of grief: Stuart.
The family asks all who knew & admired Sherry to take a moment & remember your friend in a way you deem most appropriate.
