DAY, Shirley M.
May 26, 1929 to October 29, 2025
It is with great love and sadness that we announce the passing of our Mom, with family by her side. Shirley lived a long, full and meaningful life. Predeceased by her husband Ken in 1988. They raised 6 children - Pat, Tim (Cynthia), Kathy (Peter), Lisa (Peter), Caroline (Shaun), and Chris (Colleen). She will be remembered for her sharp wit, her love of crosswords and her warm hospitality, especially during her family Christmas dinners. Her beloved dog Dolly was a constant companion and a source of comfort in her later years.
She was predeceased by her siblings Barry (Carolyn), Joan and Norman, and is survived by her brothers Doug (Vicki), Ron (Donna) and brothers-in-law Cliff and Bud. She also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, all of whom were a constant pride and joy.
She will be missed and fondly remembered.
The family extends thanks to the staff at SPH for their kindness and compassion. We also thank Sidney Senior Care for helping her remain in her home until she was 95.
