Almost three years and today I'm reminded that you are no longer with us. Deeply saddened. I hope you knew how many folks, near and far, past and present, love you.

Simon, my love, you have been in my heart since those long past and golden days of our youth. I only heard of your passing to the great beyond far too late. Today I will throw you roses across the ocean, let them float with the ease of a soul relieved to know that at least you are safe although no longer among us. May we meet again someday....your loving friend, the Scorp, Susi

Simon, you've left us too soon. I remember our days at Dawson College's Dome Theatre. I admired you from afar & you were one heck of a stage manager. I am hurt

Susan Roman sent me the news of Simon's passing. It is many years since I've seen Simon as I left Montreal in 1976. But every time I saw Simon over those years, whether at the Dome or at Darwin's, I always respected and admired his quiet sense of dignity and forthrightness.
It is with great sadness that I receive this news. May Simon's family and friends find comfort in each other's company and the loving memory we all hold of Simon and the generosity of spirit he shared with us all. Contact info: [email protected]

My heart is deeply saddened by the news of Simon's passing. I'd not seen him since our days at the Dome, but the memory of him - his wonderful, dry sense of humor, his commitment to hard work, his endearing inability to tolerate pretension of any kind - is something I will have with me forever. My heartfelt condolences to every member of his family.

I cannot begin to express how saddened I am by this news. I tried unsuccessfully to find Simon over the years since those heady DomeTheatre Days. Simon was a mentor, a friend and a real Mensch. He was a talented leader when stage managing and a charismatic presence on the stage when he chose to act. During rehearsals for Dylan, my second major role in a play after Marat Sade, Simon recognized the stress that I was under given that I was in every scene of the play and getting very little time off. So he thoughtfully invited me to join him and a couple of his friends on a trip to Stowe Vermont over a short Christmas Break. I was very fond of Simon, have thought of him, often over the years, missed him and will now miss him even more. Rest in peace dear friend. My Deepest condolences to Jono and the Marsh Family. Oh my Dear friend, as I walked through the Mojave this past summer I thought of you often, you spoke of racing about on dune buggies when you had returned from California.Rainbow Bar and Grill, Darwin's, the apartment on Olivier Av,Mark, Judy, putting up an antenna at your parent's place in Choisy, Millsy, Hank, Kim,Craig and so many other friends, the demons are gone, the mind quiet,
but now peace my friend, I will miss you, you know that.

Simon's sharp wit, warm friendship and often jaundiced perspective perfectly colored my teen years. Later, those appealing qualities, and Simon's effortless ability to stimulate thought and interaction, drew me and many curious and kindred spirits, to his part of Montreal. In his sphere we were always important and individuals who felt fortunate to be in his company. Simon has joined that ever growing assemblage in the beyond and, when I depart, I can only hope to be headed to wherever he, and they, may be found. My heart and deepest sympathies are with Mrs. Marsh, Spencer and Paul, Rowan, Jono and both your families. May he finally rest in peace.

I was deeply saddened to read yesterday about Simon's passing. Simon was a dear friend of mine in theatre school who, like another who mentioned, took me "under his wing." He quickly helped me make friends and made me feel welcome into an environment that might have seemed otherwise a bit threatening to an "outsider." We continued to bump into each other and share some good laughs in the Bishop St. days before I left Montreal for many years. Of course, I very much regret not trying to make contact since returning a few years ago. It's difficult to imagine the world without this charismatic and thoughtful person. I really adored him. My very deepest condolences to the family and all who love him.

My condolences to the Marsh family. When I moved to Hudson in grade 9 Simon was at the high school office registering for classes at the same time. He took me under his wing, showed me the ropes...he literally introduced me to Hudson. I have always been grateful to him for the friendship he showed me at that moment. Simon also convinced me to join the football team which was a special type of torture I have never forgotten. We shared many a laugh there after. Regrettably we lost touch after high school. Good memories which I will always have. I will miss you old friend.
