Solrun Sandsmark Obituary

It is with hearts full of gratitude and love that we celebrate the life of our beloved mother, Solrun Sandsmark, who peacefully passed away in her sleep on December 8th. She lived a beautiful and fulfilling life, bringing joy, love, and wisdom to everyone she touched.
Known as "Mom" to us and "Granny Sandsmark" or "Farmor" to her grandchildren, Solrun was the heart of our family. She is now reunited with her loving husband, Gudmund, with whom she built a legacy of love. Together, they raised four wonderful children, Roy, Wayne, Stephen, and David, who went on to bless her with 11 grandchildren, Melissa, Tara, Korey, Vanessa, Nathan, Natasha, Talia, Philip, Tiffany, Severine, and Amelia, and 14 great-grandchildren, Noah, Heidi, Faith, Tanner, Lucas, Liam, Summer, Theo, Logan, Owen, Austin, Evelyn, Sage and Solly.
Solrun's life was a testament to kindness, patience, and unwavering faith. She led by example, teaching us the importance of love and compassion, and her influence continues to shape our lives. She deeply loved her Lord and inspired us to embrace a life of faith with understanding and grace, always encouraging and never judging.
While we will miss her gentle spirit, we rejoice in the countless memories she leaves behind and the many ways her love continues to shine through our family.
There will be a celebration of her life, January 25, 2025 at McCall Gardens, Sequoia Centre, Royal Oak at 2pm.
