Surjit Randhawa Obituary
Passed away peacefully in hospital in the early morning hours of June 9, 2013. Born February 18, 1931 in Amritsar, India
Sardarni Surjit Kaur Randhawa (lovingly known as "Biji") dedicated her life to "seva" (service) and "simran" (meditation). She and her late husband Sardar Kuldip Singh Randhawa moved to Canada in 1996 to join their children. Biji is survived by her two sons, Gurdev Singh and Sukhdev Singh; her daughter, Inderjit Kaur; her eight grandchildren; and her three great grandchildren. They, and all who knew her, will sorely miss her wide smile, soft voice, loving nature, and contentment with whatever life brought her way. Her spirituality and kirtan performances will be remembered fondly. A memorial service will be held at First Memorial, 4725 Falaise Drive, on Sunday, June 16, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. Prayers will follow at Gurdwara Singh Sabha, 470 Cecelia Road.
