To Tanya--
Westward and removed
with a depth and beauty
to the Island
On the Island
of wooded sensuality
barefoot girls
enchant
and invite
deeper
into the feminine
Enigma
Island,
mainland distant left-
driftwood journeys
bleeding free

Those who knew her at work will miss her greatly-her views on all manner of things were often the subject of lively debates-rest gently Tanya.

I remember Tanya as a child, fun visits at grandmothers and Campbellford. Born a week apart, I always felt a special bond, though our lives went different directions and as adults we seldom met. Last time I saw her Jesse and Rainer were running around barefoot, but I took that chance to tell Tanya how I felt about my cousin. I was thrilled to hear from her last month after such a long absence. And I am so sorry for all her family that she is gone. For my part, Tanya will always be the young girl I remember, with the beautiful smile and the mischievous twinkle in her eyes.

I remember Tanya as a poet who read at the Mocambo and Planet Earth Poetry reading series in Victoria. She had just started to come back and join us again. She had a poet's sensitivity to the world around her. I will miss her gentle nature.

As homeschooling parents, Tanya and I shared numerous activities and events with our children. Tanya's most beautiful smile, sense of humour and playfulness, gentleness, and her poetry will stay with me, as I remember her. To her family - I hold you in my heart.

Our thoughts and hearts go out to the family at this time of greif. We did not know Tanya for that long, but she made a big impact in our lives and Hearts. Tanya is now at peace, keep the happy thoughts of her in your minds and hearts as we do.
Hugs
