Courtney, This candle is for you. I bet your Dad is looking down upon you and smiling right now. He was always so proud of his kids, and bragged all the time.

My 17yr old son Brandon was a patient at GF Strong this summer and we were both blessed to meet Ted. Ted and Pete and Greg and the rest of the gang helped Brandon more than they could ever realize. Even though it was difficult times for everybody, the gang's lunch hour get-togethers were a time for MUCH laughter. Since Brandon played junior hockey, Ted and Brandon often talked about hockey, and Ted would sometimes ask Brandon's advice regarding his son's path. We will never forget Ted and his kind words.

Dear Elma and all of Teddy's Family,
Wally and I are in Cambodia, Schwamy emailed us to let us know that Ted had passed.
We truly thank him for letting us know so we can take this opportunity to send a message to you and the rest of the family.
Everyone that met Teddy loved him and of course his laugh.
When we had the opportunity to visit Teddy at S.G.'s in Vancouver we were suprised that with all the challenges he had ahead of him, he could still joke and laugh. From the pictures posted on the T/C guestbook we can see him at Joe's game. Ted talked alot about his kids and that one of his main goals was to be allowed to go to the Island to see Joe's final games. We are so glad he made it.
I don't think Schwamy, Wally or I will ever forget the laughs we had on one of our ski trips to Big White. Ted kept us laughing and crying until the wee hours of the morning, I think, just with his laugh half the time. Of course the evening would not be complete without Teddy hanging a moon on his way up to bed, but Elma, that would not suprise you at all, would it?
Our thoughts are with all of you at this time. Wally and I will tip a few in Teddy's memory on Wednesday.
Love Wally and Pat Schmidt

I love you so much Uncle Ted. You are truly an inspiration to me and words can not describe how much we are all going to miss you. One of my favourite memories is from this summer, during one of our many lunch dates, when I was preparing for my road test and you showed me how to reverse stall park using your chair. Now everytime I see my N, I think of you. Take care of Grandpa and Uncle Rick. Love, your kiddo, Paige.

There will never be another Ted, gone far too soon with many more memories to be made. I will remember you always my dear freind. We will always be family to each other, along with "Schwamie","Gurns" and "Dawes" the Brothers I hold dear. But Ted you will always be special to me, all the "growing up" we did together is the basis of who I am, you are a part of me.
Cheers, my freind until we meet again, keep the beers on ice and the lines tight.
