Thomas Bjur Obituary

It is with sad hearts that we must share the news of the passing of a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.
Tom was born on June 18, 1941 in Edmonton, Alberta.
He has been a part of the community in Youbou on Cowichan Lake since 1965.
Tom was a loving husband to Linda for 48 years, an amazing father (in-law) to Alannah and Natalie (Chris), a caring Papa to Jack and Violet; and friend to so many.
He worked in the Youbou Saw Mill for over 40 years and was the Head Saw Filer. Tom was able to travel to various foreign country's teaching and consulting in his trade; and was the president of the B.C. Saw Filers association for several years.
Tom loved to golf, fish, ski, travel and spend time with his family and especially his grandchildren.
Tom remained positive since his diagnosis of Cancer in February until his sudden death this past week.
His family is deeply saddened by this tremendous loss.

Linda the love of his life, Alannah, Natalie his daughters he was so proud of & let us know all the time he talked to us ( he was so proud of his son in law Chris ) Jack & Violet, Tom's sparkle in his eye & that smile he had when he talked about his grand children!! A smile that will not be forgotten!
The Cove Family is deeply sadden with tears of the news of Tom's passing. Our thought's & prayers are with you at this time in Tom's life.
We will all miss saying Hi Tom! as we pull into our house in Youbou.
But you will be in our memories forever Tom!
