Thomas DAVIES Obituary

It is with a broken heart that we announce the passing of Thomas after a 2 year battle with multiple myeloma. He was a hard worker, spending most of his career working for the CRD in the watershed. He loved being outdoors, by the ocean and amongst the trees and wildlife of Vancouver Island. When not working, Tom expressed his creativity through woodworking and tending to his garden. One cannot forget his love of chopping firewood and helping his neighbors. We will remember his kindness, generosity and booming laugh, but most of all the deep love he had for people, especially his family. We miss him dearly. He is survived by his wife Sherry, his 4 children Adam, Graeme, Chris and Heidi, 5 siblings and 7 grandchildren. A private celebration of Tom's life will be held in the summer.

Our long time friend and brother has parted the curtain to Glory. We will always cherish the times praying together for family, playing music together and the trips we had. We will miss your quick sense of humour and infectious laughter. A good husband, good Dad and close friend - till we meet again in His presence, dancing with our Father God in fields of grace!

Tom's mum and mine were RJH nursing buddies from the 1940's. They started their families about the same time, and Tom was born the same year as me and so 6we got thrown together a lot as young children. I have fond memories of large family playdates on the Happy Valley family property, and messing about at "the creek". My condolences to the family - he will be missed.

My sincerest condolences to Sherry and Tom´s big beautiful family! I worked with Tom since the late 70´s becoming very good friends. Tom´s work ethic was incredible! I spent many years working directly with Tom on the crew. He had an infectious laugh that will live on in me forever. He always had such a positive outlook on life, even after 8 hours on rigging in pouring rain. He always offered help to anyone who crossed his path. Rest In peace my friend, you will never be forgotten!
