Thomas Leason Obituary


LEASON, Thomas Paul March 6, 1918 April 14, 2011 Tom was born to Edward & Dora Leason in Victoria, BC Predeceased by his loving wife Ida Mary (Stansfield) whom he was married to for 46 years. He leaves his son Tom Jr. (June), Grandson Paul (Nicole), Great Grandson Nickolas. Also his loving daughter Debbie (Lea) Henn, Grandson Daniel Miller (Brittney). Tom was also predeceased by his daughter in-law Willa, brothers Herb, Roy, Joe, Dick, Art & Bobby. His brother Fred (Ohio, USA) survives him as well 4 sister-inlaws. He leaves many nieces and nephews with happy memories of summers at Shawnigan Lake. Tom worked for many years at Yarrows Shipyard and then enjoyed 28 years of retirement. The Family would like to thank Selkirk Place and the fantastic VGH staff. Father also wanted to thank Dr. Derick Purdon for his many years of care. Our father lived a great life with no regrets and loved his family above all else. We are sad he is gone but so grateful he was Ours, Rest in Peace PAPA. Family and friends are invited to a Celebration of Life to be held Monday, May 2nd at Canadian Forces Sailing Association 1001 Maple Bank Road (off Admirals Rd) Esquimalt, BC 2 pm to 6 pm. 623848

At age 14-15 1943-44 I worked for Ernie Ridout's UNION 76 gas station @ the Oak Bay Junction Victoria. [Tom] & Art let me pump gas (rationed) for them each weak.
Art drove the Ladder Fire Engine for V.F.D.
