Thomas Pelton Obituary
PELTON, Thomas Edward 1932 - 2021 After a year-long battle with cancer, Tom passed away on December 19th at age 89. He will be greatly missed by his family: his wife Frances, his children Doug (Jaye), Brad (Teresa), Tim (Leslee), Kristy (Richard), Lori Ann (Dan), Charlene (Bernie), and numerous grand- and great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his son Gil (Giselle) and his first wife Vivian. He was born in Haida Gwaii to a family of loggers and fishers. Tom enjoyed photography, rowing, walking, travel, duplicate bridge, and Sudoku. As an engineer he was an expert for the Berger Inquiry, designed a floating bridge to Vancouver Island, pulp mills, pipelines, transmission lines and developed one of the first CAD programs for microcomputers. He was a kind, sincere, and generous man with a keen love for friends and family. A celebration of life is planned for 1:00 pm February 26 at St. Joseph the Worker Parish at the corner of Burnside Rd W. and McKenzie Ave. in Victoria.
