Tony Giblett Obituary
GIBLETT, Tony David Tony passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 9. Tony is lovingly remembered by his wife, Margaret and by his two sons, Paul and Mark. He also leaves two beautiful grandchildren, Sophia and Benjamin and a daughter-in-law Ishra. Tony was born in 1933 and raised in England. He married Margaret in 1959 and worked throughout his life in the automotive business started by his father. Upon retiring in 1993, he and Margaret moved to Canada, first to Whistler for the excitement of the ski slopes then to Lions Bay, where his beloved roses and azaleas flourished. Tony and Margaret moved to Nanoose Bay in 2001 and threw themselves into golf and hiking. Besides his family, golf and gardening, Tony's passions included cricket and Chelsea Football Club. He was a gentle, compassionate and generous man with a wry sense of humor. He was loved and cherished by family and friends alike. Tony will forever be in our hearts. A service will be held at St.Mary's Anglican Church, Nanoose Bay on Friday 17 April at 2pm. Flowers are gratefully declined. In lieu, donations may be made in Tony's memory to the BC Cancer Foundation. 536303
