Tyrone Tschritter Obituary
TSCHRITTER, Tyrone James November 22, 1981 March 2, 2008 Loved and befriended by everyone he met throughout his life, Ty was a friendly, outgoing, kind and a gentle soul. He was taken from us so very suddenly at such a young age and at a time when he was so happy making lifelong plans for his future with his girlfriend, Javiera, who he met while working as an English teacher in Mexico. Ty was born in Kamloops B.C. and lived his childhood years in Victoria and Smithers, B.C. He was always an active sports enthusiast, enjoying such sports as hockey, soccer, golf, baseball, downhill skiing, snowboarding, and racquet sports. He also played the guitar and drums and had a great love of music. Ty became an avid traveler, traveling the world both for pleasure and through employment of various types. His first big trip was with his sisters to Mexico when he was 15 he loved it and was hooked. His travels took him to many countries around the world. His most recent trip was in January to see Javiera, the love of his life, in Chile ... he was ecstatic and couldn't wait until she could come to live with him in Canada this spring. Ty's family, parents Jim and Carol and sisters Tara (Todd) and Holly (Thomas) and girlfriend Javiera Belmar are devastated ~ he was the world to all of us. He also leaves a wealth of wonderful relatives and friends, first and foremost, his three nephews, Dion, Dayton, and Jack who meant everything to him he loved being an uncle to his little guys; grandparents Hugo Tschritter, Tom & Jean Hawkins; aunts and uncles Ken Tschritter, Lorrie Tschritter, Judy & Rob Fletcher, Larry & Melanie Tschritter, Edna & Wes Chambers, Ken & Sheila Hawkins (also Ty's godparents), Don Hawkins (Lee), Norm & Sylvia Hawkins and Miriam & Warren Leneveu, and numerous cousins. Every one of us and all of Ty's friends know that their lives have been touched by a wonderful human being. A service will be held at First Memorial Chapel, 1155 Fort Street on Saturday, March 8, 2008 at 11:00 am. A Celebration of Ty's Life will follow at Victoria Unitarian Church Hall, 5575 West Saanich Rd. All of Ty's friends and acquaintances are invited to attend and your contributions to a potluck spread are appreciated. Donations to The Children's Wish Foundation of Canada, 119-4240 Manor, Burnaby, BC, V5G 1B2 in Ty's name are gratefully accepted. 449988

I know he died six years ago, but i do remember Uncle Ty taking me to a local toy store and buying me a little red truck. I still remember playing with that for hours and hours. I also remember walking on his back because to him it felt like a massage.

Ty, two long years .... missing you so much and life still has to go on .... you are in my heart and I love you now just as I did the day you were born, my beautiful little guy. Dear Jim, Carol and family
I have only recently learned of your loss. I met Ty just once, when he was a little boy about 5. This was in 1986 at the ‘66 Mt. Douglas grad reunion family picnic at Beaver Lake, Victoria. I remember what an energetic and spirited little boy he was! How desperately sad and tragic it is to lose a loved one, and even more heartbreaking for Ty’s life to be cut so short. I suffered loss also in 2008 and can fully comprehend the pain and sorrow you all face. I do know however that every life, no matter what age, teaches us something and that Ty’s life has left you all with some wonderful memories and experiences to draw on throughout your lives ahead. I wish you all much peace.

I knew Ty what seems like forever ago, but I will think of you often, so sorry for the Tschritter family loss, I heard when it happened but it has taken me a while to be able to write. God Bless You Ty.

I am incredibly saddened to learn of the loss of my good friend Ty. We had some great times together and I am stunned and shocked to hear about this tragic loss. Jim,Carol, Tara and Holly: Sam enjoyed his time with Ty at Ken's watching the games and it was nice that they got to know each other. I saw him there often and he was always very thoughtful. We are thinking of you at this time.
