Sincere condolences to the Thornton family. I will never forget that boisterous laugh that preceded Vi down the hallway and around corners at the Victoria Cablevision studio! She was warm and friendly from the instant I met her and I loved our conversations on breaks at work. She was fascinated with other people's lives, full of encouragement and an admirer of her many colleagues. She truly was in your corner, sharing wise words to help anyone through tough times. A truly heartwarming woman has left us, but we will all have such treasured memories of dear Vi to hold dear.

Loving, Warm, Kind, Fun, Smart and what an amazing Mom! I so wished I was one of her brood. Vi made every day at the office fun, and her famous sandwiches and endless amazing goodies were sought after by many. Vi insisted on making my wedding cake, it was most beautiful cake a bride could ever ask for. Grateful for my last visit with Vi and Lorne a few years back, I hold that memory softly in my heart.

I had the privilege to meet Vi and work with her during her time at Cablevision. She instantly brought fun and light into the room with her you-hoo greeting. I fondly remember the delicious treats she often brought in to share during coffee break. Knowing Vi also meant you got to know her whole family that she was deeply proud of. I am so sorry for your loss. She will be missed. I am very grateful to have known her.
My thoughts are with her family.

My sincere condolences to all the Thornton family. Vi was a very special person with a heart of gold. Walking through her door on Maplewood was just like walking into my own home as Vi always made you feel just like one of her family and you never left hungry!

My thoughts are with you all.
