In Loving Memory
Walter passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the age of 89. Walter was born May 8, 1935 in Maple Creek, Saskatchewan to Ruth and Thomas McBrine. Walter was the sixth of seven sons. He was predeceased by his parents and brothers, by his wife Carol McBrine and first wife Gloria McBrine and by his grandson Trevor. Walter is survived by children Betty, Linda (Lawrence), David, Gary (April) and Bill. He is also survived by stepdaughters Stephanie (Scott) and Pamela, grandchildren Jeffrey, Michelle, Steven and Kevin, great grandchildren Carter, Luc and Halle, and by his close friend Deb Kelleher.
The family of Walter McBrine would like to thank the staff at Tofino Hospital for the excellent care provided in his last days.
A celebration of life will be held in Ucluelet at the Community Center on March 15, 2025 at 1:00pm. Walter was very active in the community of Ucluelet for over fifty years - he will be greatly missed. Therefore guests may have an opportunity to speak briefly about a fond memory or a kind thought about Walter. Condolence cards may be offered and the family asks visitors to sign a guest attendance book for our keepsake.
