Born on January 14, 1931, Walter spent many years in Victoria, BC raising his family and working at Stan V Wright's until his retirement where he spent many years in Qualicum Beach before returning to Victoria.
He leaves behind his children, Sharon, Diana and Brian (Karen); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Mitchell, Braydon, Colton, Katie, Matt and Samantha.

Walter's request was no formal service.

Sorry to hear about your dad, I missed seeing him in Sidney when he retired. He was such a nice man along with your mom Ruth. I have fond memories of visiting when we were kids and playing on the hills behind your house. Take care and my condolences to you all.

My condolences on the passing of your father. I worked with Walter at Stan V Wright Ltd for many years and he also knew my dad. I enjoyed Walter's sense of humour, dry wit and observations and he was kind to this young kid. Along with my dad, we shared an enjoyment of the bush, sharing many stories of gold panning and hiking through the Sooke hills to the San Juan Ridge in Port Renfrew. Rest easy now Walter.
