Wendy HARBORD Obituary

HARBORD, Wendy Rosalie: born in Victoria, BC, on February 10 1943; passed away in Prince George, BC, on October 31 2025. Predeceased by father, Justin Victor Harbord; mother, Betty Mae Harbord; and sister, Betty Harbord. Survived by son, Christopher Hecker; daughter, Catherine Harbord; and siblings, Pamela, Justin, David, and Eleanor Harbord. Wendy grew up in Oak Bay, and then enjoyed a long career as a social worker in Northern BC. She had a great love for the outdoors and was an avid walker, wherever she found herself. She will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

I met Wendy when she lived in Victoria. She was the one who taught me how to use a computer. We enjoyed many wonderful scrabble games, often went for walks, and sometimes had meals together. Since she moved up north, we
didn't see each other all that often, but continued connecting by phone. I'll
miss her. Heartfelt condolences.

Wendy was a good friend to our family, such an interesting and adventurous person. We shared many things, including her love of animals. Wendy you will be missed by many. You made the world a better place
